I’ve been trying to tell her that in order for me to hug her to sleep, Raeanne has to sleep first. This didn’t sink in to her until tonight. She finally got it in (probably it’s because she doesn’t need to wait because Raeanne was already asleep).
She learnt to talk softly in the room and do her best not to wake her sister. However, she wanted to touch Raeanne and sayang her when she came into the room. 😖 Thank God Raeanne didn’t wake up to that.
Then she asked...
“Mama, why are you and Daddy so tired?”
“Rachael, that’s because every night while you are sleeping, mummy has to wake up in the middle of the night to pump milk for meimei. While you are sleeping, Daddy is outside doing work or household chores. We don’t have enough sleep, that’s why we are so tired.”
I don’t know whether she understands, but I hope she does. She whispered something like “let’s sleep early...” but it wasn’t very clear and I didn’t want her to repeat and raise her voice in case Raeanne wakes up. I really hope we can all sleep early every night.
Dear Father,
Please help all of us to have sufficient rest every night so that we will not be too tired to have fun together as a family. Give Ken and I the grace and strength each day to do the necessary and not compromise on the time we need to spend with our family. I pray for quality time with our family. Please heal Raeanne of her blocked nose so that she can have a good and undisturbed sleep every night. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray, amen!
